How to install these terrazzo

Terrazzo must be installed on a well leveled and dry surface and cut all four side of terrazzo must cut at least 5-6mm to have perfect right angle. Apply adhesive where terrazzo to be fixed and joining grout to be applied at the time of fixing.
Once fully installed start polishing with polishing pads. Then after do the grouting and make the final polish.

Yes When sealed properly, these terrazzo can be used for wet areas. Finishes like leather ( anti - slip) or matte can be use to increase safety.

What is the lead time for terrazzo production

Since these terrazzo are customizable, usually it takes 3 to 4 week depending on volume and design complexity and current production schedules.

What kind of substrate is required for terrazzo.

A stable strong, leveled and moisture free substrate is essential with concrete, screed or backer boards.

How does it different from epoxy terrazzo.

Cement based terrazzo is thicker, heavier and more breathable and is more traditional for both interiors and exteriors whereas epoxy terrazzo is thinner and more vibrant in color with high gloss finish for Interiors spaces but it's not suitable for outdoor use. Cement terrazzo is better for aesthetics and outdoor durability.

What sealer coat is preferred for sealent.

A water-based or solvent-based penetrating sealer is ideal for terrazzo and provide stain resistance. For eg Kerakoll Adhesive or Stone shield adhesive.

How's the porosity of terrazzo.

Here the terrazzo have compressive strength of M80 or higher and a water absorption rate of just 1% making them highly resistant to stains.

How's the contraction and expansion handled in terrazzo.

Cement Terrazzo naturally expand and contract with temperature changes. To prevent cracking we use bonding and accelerator agent and flex for flexibility of terrazzo and it's fully calibrated during the process which help to improve the quality.

Yes Terrazzo is used in commercial office spaces, malls, hospital and public spaces due to its hard wearing and low maintenance properties.

Every 1-2 years depending on usages and cleaning. High traffic commercial areas may need more frequent resealing.
